California gull in flight. I shot the reference photo from a cliff in Northern California and wondered how I could work it in to a piece. I also had a great shot of another from the same day so I felt a diptych of opposites would be interesting on the two types of scratchboard available now. I guess you could say this was part of my Yin/Yang stage.
